F.A.Q’s

Why use a shredding service instead of using your own shredder?
Money!  It will cost you 3 to 5 times more to use a shredding machine than to have a shredding service.  The cost of the shredder, labor cost, office space, maintenance, power cost and disposal cost all add up to much more than we charge, and we do all the work for you.

Can I drop off my documents for destruction?
Yes.  We offer a drop off service Monday thru Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  You can even request to watch the material being destroyed in our industrial shredder.

Do you recycle?
Yes.  We recycle 100% of the paper we shred.  All of our shredded paper documents are sent directly to one of our partnered Paper Mills.  Once at the mill, the shredded material is bleached, pulped, and processed back into paper products.

How do you charge for your services?
One time clean-outs or purges are priced by the pound.  Bin service is typically priced by the bin per service.

Do you strip shred the material?
Absolutely not!  Strip shredding is a very inefficient method of shredding documents.  Material that is strip shredded can easily be reconstructed.  Our equipment uses a pierce and tear method which renders your documents into very small, unreadable pieces which can never be reconstructed.

Are there any restrictions about what we can and cannot put in your security containers?
We accept any color or type of paper, including paper clips, staples, rubber bands, labels and file tabs.  Please do not place trash, food waste, or medical waste (needles, rubber gloves, pill bottles, etc.) into any of the containers.

Do you destroy CD’s/DVD’s and media tapes?
Yes.  Please keep them separate from the paper destruction.  We can provide additional containers for large amounts.

Do we need to pay when you pick up my material for shred or can you issue an invoice?
Either way.  We accept credit cards too.

Do you issue a certificate of destruction?
Yes.  Once your documents have been destroyed, we issue you a Certificate of Destruction and the output is then recycled.

What is the capacity of your equipment?
Our equipment shreds up to 3 tons of material per hour.

How do you ensure our security?
We are AAA Certified by the National Association for Information Destruction (NAID) and we go to great lengths to provide the highest level of security available.  Our procedures, personnel, vehicles, and facility must meet the highest standards set forth by our industry.  We conduct a local, state, and federal background check on all of our personnel.  We also perform regular random drug screens on all personnel.  In addition, all personnel wear the company uniform and display a picture ID badge.

What kinds of security containers do you provide?
We provide a variety of security containers to meet your needs free of charge. We offer a 96-gallon, 64-gallon, 32-gallon Executive.  Please see our security containers page for specifics.

What if I only need shredding once a year or just once?
We service many clients who use us just once as well as companies who need to shred regularly.
